Kings Post-Practice

I didnt know they were going to be practicing at the same facility, so I got these guys on IC's:

Anaheim Ducks Practice

Found out about this practice yesterday, so I all I was able to bring were pucks.

Got their about 9:30 for a 10:50 practice, but we learned out later that the practice got pushed back to 11:30.

The team bus arrived at 11, I had one h*ll of a time trying to ID these guys coming in. I was only able to ID Ryan, Getzlaf, and Perry coming in. It didnt help that everyone came out really fast. Getzlaf only signed two, and Perry blew me off.

Hawks Pre-Practice

Flew into Phoenix today, checked into the hotel at about 2 pm local time. Kidk and I went over to Goodyear to catch the tail end of the Indians/Sox major league game.

It was the 7th inning by the time we got there, so we walked around Goodyear looking for the players' lot.. until we figured out that there was no lot and that the players parked on the street. We only waited about 30-40 minutes and did really well, we had to leave before the game was over to catch the Dodgers/Mariners game.

Tried doing the Brewers in the morning but found out that they don't allow you anywhere near the major league fields, so we headed over to Camelback a little early.

Surprisingly the Sox opened up one of their practice fields, which was located right next to the players tunnel to the clubhouse. I ended up with:

Colon completely ignored me for the second time this spring, I was the only one calling for him. Thornton, Linebrink, Wise, and Thome all got rides on carts back to the clubhouse.

Settled for the Dodgers vs Royals game instead of going to Mesa for Cubs/Sox... Kidk definitely beat me in terms of quality today.

I got into Milwaukee with a friend about 2:30 to try for the Grizz at their hotel. Ended up wasting 2 and a half hours at the Pfister/Hotel Metro with no luck, so as I was heading over to the arena I lucked out. A hotel I had never heard of, the Intercontinental, had a coach bus in front of it. By the time I found parking and ran over there, I just missed the last guy coming out and the bus pulled out. After it came back for a second trip I was able to get this:

One of their team security guys is a complete @$$hole. While each of these guys was signing he kept saying "Remember what I told you, just use one marker on everything." None of them did it except Miles, who used a crappy silver sharpie on my cards... I couldn't pull my book away in time, it looked like he was going to switch at first until the security guy told him that :mad:

At the Arena:

I made the hour and a half drive down to Skokie right after school today and met up with Kidk/Pabs there. Much thanks to them for saving me a spot in line.

My paint pen didnt come out the greatest on the 16, but Im still very happy with what I got.

Nothing.. f'in rain started pouring up 5 minutes after they opened the gates. Colon and Contreras signed for about 5 people along the left field line after they were done throwing in the outfield, but I wasnt able to get over there in time. Game got rained out :mad:

The pen wasnt great, but I believe part of it was that he didnt press down very hard on certain parts of it.

That being said, I really hate using paint pens... They seem to screw up more often than not for me, no matter how much I prep them. Im only getting photos signed in blue from now on..

slivers are a pain in the ass-in the summer they become watery in winter they freeze...and there anywhere from 3-5 bucks a pen...

Went to the Johnny Knox signing about 20 minutes from my house. He was a Dick's Sporting Goods store for a charity movement, all you had to do was bring in a new toy or one non-perishable food item.
