Received Sam Etcheverry 1/1 in about a month. This was a very interesting reply. I sent it to his home in Florida, but it was returned from Ste. Catherine de Hatley, Quebec. My SASE had a US Forever stamp on it, making the success even more unbelievable. Forever stamps have no value outside of the US; in fact, because they don't carry any marking that indicates their value, they aren't supposed to be used for foreign mailings. To get one back that was mailed from the wrong country makes this even more interesting. I guess there's no rhyme or reason to the USPS or Canada Post! At any rate, it was postmarked in Canada on May 27 and arrived in my box on June 5.
